Sportsbook Rules

Scope and Definitions

These sportsbook rules govern all bets offered by Dada8 on its online sportsbook platform. They apply to all wager types, markets, and settlement procedures unless a market-specific rule states otherwise or a promotion provides explicit exceptions. Settlement is based on official results and statistics as published by the relevant competition authority or by Dada8 where official sources are not available. For any market or event where the outcome cannot be verified officially, Dada8 may void the market or delay settlement until verification is obtained.

Bets and Markets

A market is a defined outcome or set of outcomes offered for wagering. All markets are settled in reference to the specified criteria for the market, and where not stated otherwise, the result used is the end of regulation time including stoppage time but excluding extra time or shootouts unless the market explicitly states otherwise. Video Assistant Referee (VAR) decisions and official timing shall be taken into account for settlement when applicable.

  • Official verification: If an outcome cannot be verified officially, or a market is displayed with an error, settlement may be voided or delayed until verification is obtained.
  • Abandoned or incomplete events: If a match is not completed and cannot be resumed within a reasonable period, unsettled markets are void unless a market has been unconditionally determined prior to interruption.
  • Venue and team designations: If the home/away designation or teams are swapped after bets are placed, bets based on the original listing may be voided unless otherwise stated by the market rules.
  • Timing irregularities: If a market is opened with an inaccurate start time or with a mispriced offer by more than a reasonable margin, Dada8 reserves the right to void the market.

Bet Types

  • Single bets: A bet on a single event. Winnings are calculated as the stake multiplied by the odds. Example: stake £10 at odds of 2.0 yields £20 (including stake) or £10 net profit depending on display conventions.
  • Combination (Accumulator) bets: A bet comprising multiple selections where all selections must win for the wager to be successful. The total odds are the product of the individual odds, and the stake is applied to the combined bet. Example: three selections with odds 1.50, 1.80 and 1.95 with a £1 stake yields a combined potential payout of £1 × 1.50 × 1.80 × 1.95.
  • System bets: A system bet is a collection of multiple selections arranged so that several combinations are created. Each individual combination is settled as a separate bet. Wins can occur on some but not all combinations. Example: a 2/3 system using three selections yields three two-leg combinations; two winners pay out according to the respective two-leg odds.
  • Banker bets: A banker is a chosen leg within a system bet that must win for the overall wager to pay. If the banker loses, the entire system bet may lose. Availability and restrictions apply to device compatibility; in particular, banker bets may be limited to desktop use on some platforms.
  • Jackpot bets: A jackpot bet is settled as a standard stake against a fixed game outcome, with the settlement determined by the corresponding event result within the fixed game parameters.

European Handicap and Handicap Rules

The European Handicap (EH) is a three-way, integer handicap placed on the favored or underdog team. The handicap is expressed as a positive or negative integer (for example, -1, -2, +1). The draw result is a separate outcome to be settled as part of the handicap market. Example: Team A (-2) – Draw (-2) – Team B (-2). The result is interpreted so that a win, draw, or narrow defeat by the handicap-adjusted margin may determine a winning bet depending on the selection chosen. EH differs from some Asian handicap conventions by using only whole-number margins and a fixed draw option.

Player Props and Market Specifications

  • Overtime and penalties: Player markets include overtime where applicable; penalty shootouts are not included unless the market expressly provides otherwise.
  • Non-participating players: If a selected player does not participate in the match, bets on that player shall be voided.
  • Match disruption: If a match starts but is abandoned or suspended and not resumed within 48 hours, all bets on the affected players are voided unless the market has been unconditionally determined.
  • Venue changes or postponements: Bets placed prior to a venue change or postponement shall stand if the market has not been affected; otherwise, bets may be voided or settled pending the new schedule.
  • Dead heats: In events with a dead heat, the stake is allocated proportionally among the winners. If a market does not involve a draw option, standard dead heat rules apply to the affected bets.

Soccer Settlement Rules

  • General rule: All match markets are settled on the result at the end of normal time, including stoppage time, and exclude extra time unless explicitly stated. VAR decisions may affect outcome verification for settlement.
  • Significant events: If a market outcome is altered by a significant event (goal, red card, penalty) after the event, bets may be voided from the time of the event until the final official decision is announced.
  • Friendly matches: Settlement rules for friendlies may differ and will be stated in the market-specific terms. Absent such specification, standard rules apply as above.
  • Halftime and full-time bets: Halftime-only bets are void if the match does not reach halftime as scheduled; bets on full-time outcomes remain valid if the match is played to completion in accordance with the schedule.

Horse Racing and Other Sports

  • Ante-post and non-runners: Ante-post bets settle at the price applicable at acceptance, with Non Runner No Bet terms applied where specified.
  • Official results: All bets are settled according to the official result or, if a steward’s inquiry or objection changes the result, the weigh-in decision governs unless stated otherwise.
  • Double Result concession: In horse racing, bets may be settled on both the immediate finish (First Past the Post) and the official result, where the concession applies to the market and is subject to the operator’s published maximum payout limits.
  • Disqualifications and demotions: If a winner is disqualified after the result is announced, settlement is generally based on the official result as announced, with exceptions as per the market terms.

Dead Heat and Non-Standard Outcomes

Dead heat rules apply when two or more selections finish tied for first in a market with common winners. The stake is divided proportionally among winners. Markets that offer a draw as a distinct result are settled according to the draw outcome and are not subject to proportional sharing between non-draw outcomes.

Settlement, Corrections and Variations

  • Erroneous prices or market flaws: Dada8 reserves the right to void or correct markets and settlements arising from obvious pricing errors or incomplete data.
  • Changes to rules: Dada8 may introduce changes to the rules; such changes apply to bets placed after the effective date of the change and may not affect bets already accepted unless required to correct an error.
  • Promotion exceptions: If a market is offered under a promotion, the promotion-specific terms prevail over standard rules for that market.

General Provisions

By placing a wager, customers acknowledge and agree to these rules. In all matters not expressly covered by these rules, Dada8 will determine settlement in a fair and reasonable manner based on available official data and statistics. For any dispute, customer rights are subject to applicable law and the operator’s internal review procedures.
